Phoenix Bishop Defends Life, Catholic Health Care
Thomas Olmsted, D.D., Bishop of Phoenix, recently issued a public statement that demonstrated a strong defense of human life and authentic Catholic health care. The Catholic Medical Association, in conjunction with the Catholic Physicians Guild of Phoenix, supports Bishop Olmsted and prays that healing and a renewed commitment to respect for human life can come out of this tragedy. 23rd World Congress of FIAMC Held
The 23rd World Congress of FIAMC (the World Federation of Catholic Medical Associations) was held in Lourdes, France, from May 6th through 9th. The congress was sponsored by the Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers. Thirty of the speakers from around the world reflected on the theme "Our Faith as Doctors." Death Panel(s): Not just real, but really effective
Sarah Palin's comments last year describing the "death panels" that would exist under government-run health care were dismissed as completely unfounded. Now that the law has been signed, its supporters not only don't mind discussing death panels; they are bragging about how effective they will be in saving money. Watch the video after the jump.
